Obermeyer was founded in 1947 in Aspen, Colorado by German immigrant and ski instructor Klaus Obermeyer out of a need for warmer, more functional ski clothing, famously starting with a down parka fashioned from a comforter. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Obermeyer became iconic for embracing the era's bold, fashion-forward aesthetic, producing highly recognizable, vibrant, and neon-colored one-piece ski suits with geometric patterned designs that defined the slopes. Today, the company continues to operate from its historic base in Aspen and on December 2nd, 2025, Klaus Obermeyer celebrated his 106th birthday!

Our suits are a mixed bag of men's and women's suits. They're made from different brands, fabrics and stretch. A medium can mean many different things. It can be long and skinny or short and roomy. Measurements are taken laying flat, so double the size and compare with your measurements.
